Nigerian superstar Davido has finally bagged his first Grammy Awards nominations, after years of speculation and anticipation. The singer was nominated in three categories for the 2024 Grammy Awards:
- Best Global Music Performance
- Best African Music Performance
- Best Global Album
Davido’s nominations come as a welcome surprise to many, as the singer has been one of the most successful African artists of the past decade without ever receiving a Grammy nomination. However, Davido has always maintained that he was not in a hurry to win a Grammy and that he was focused on making music that his fans would love.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1992, Davido had a love of music from a very young age. His father was a successful businessman and a record label owner, and his mother was a university lecturer.
